I write to you today from under the covers in my bed. I spent nearly the entire day shopping, cleaning, and organizing. I have positioned myself here our of sheer tiredness, and I do not plan to move until later, when I will make myself an extremely large milkshake.
Unfortunately, I’m not here to talk about milkshakes. What I wanted to talk to you about was an amazing website I found a while ago, named 7 Cups of Tea.
To give you a short overview, you can either talk to someone about your problems/thoughts, or you can become a listener. The basic idea is that you talk to a listener in order to hopefully solve some problems and give you peace of mind. Though I’ve once been the one to talk about their problems, I am most often a listener.
To become a listener, you have to sign up (of course), and then go through a short training session. You are instructed to read a passage, and then answer questions that correspond to what you’ve just read. All together, I believe there are about 35 questions to answer, and in order to become a listener, you need to answer a certain number of these correctly (which I can’t exactly remember how many at the moment).
Now I think this is a fantastic idea. Not everyone can afford professional therapy, but everyone needs someone to talk to once in a while. Unfortunately, not everyone is lucky enough to have friends or family they can go to with certain problems. What’s great about this website is that it’s completely anonymous if you want it to be. You don’t have to tell anyone your name, and it is advised that you don’t give out personal information.
I’ve been looking for a spot to put my personal link on my blog, but I can’t seem to figure out how to incorporate it. So, the point of this blog post is to A. inform people about 7 Cups of Tea and how awesome it is, and B. give you my personal referral link so that you can talk to me, which is: http://www.7cupsoftea.com/11626833
Stay wonderful, xox.
